Jan Katuin (1950) is a Dutch photographer living and working since 2007 in the Andalusian province of Granada. He loves pure or maybe you better say honest photography.
You will see Andalusia through the eyes of a foreigner with a great love for the Andalucian people, the cities, the extremely varied landscape and stunning scenery. He loves the Mediterranean light and in many pictures is the incidence of light an important part in his work. Now he is an expert in making documentaries about traditions, Andalusian unknown inland and in order, he likes to go to find unfamiliar places. His experience and photo treks, usually through the unknown inland of Andalusia, makes he owns an enormous photographic archive. On this website you will find a small part of his photowork that will change regularly.
Jan says about his work: I see, the camera will record and that's it. Very often I make photos during walking, people do not pose for the camera most of the time its a so called snapshot. I do not use photoshop, no tricks, what the camera captures that´s what you see in my photos.
