Fuentes de Cesna is a small village with about 400 inhabitants. It has a rich history, at least 5000 years old, but it also experienced two great tragedies in the last century. In 1940 and 1963, the village was hit by severe storms and rainfall that caused major landslides. Ancient Fuentes was largely washed away and hit by huge boulders. Many people died and help was difficult to get going due to the isolated location of the village. In the sixties a new village was built and the old village with all its ruins is now a cultural park. Because I live here and the environment is overwhelming, I decided to devote a special photo page to my village.
